could you please add key-wording of attribute values (or provide a reason for not doing it)?

The advantage is that user can then use quick search, without using phrase search. They are logical part of the item, so I think they should be included.

From help:
"Search titles only: Check the 'Search titles only' checkbox to search only item titles (if unchecked, all item Attributes and Keywords are searched)."

Attributes are searched but gives no result if one doesn't use phrase search. (I usually add * to search string, which then also finds results in attributes)

If there is an option to search for "Item Text", "Item Notes", it might be also a good idea to add an option to the Quick/Advanced Search: "search only attributes". I have a large number of attributes and say want to search for "Austria" only in the attributes, then I have to include all the following attributes, "Address", "Location", "Country", ... and hope that I didn't forget about any of the possible location of "Austria" in some attribute.

All attributes with "Keyword attribute values" checked (at Tools | Options | Attributes) will automatically be keyworded - and the resulting keywords ARE used by Quick Search as you have requested.

perfect :) (I did look in the "search" help, there was no mention about keywording of attributes in relation to Quick Search, maybe a word over there would help)

But why is the "Keyword attribute values" greyed, ie. cannot be ticked for some attributes? In particular, "Location" attribute, which is why I had the problem. Thanks

The Location system attribute is (incorrectly) configured to not be keyworded. We'll get this fixed in the next release, but for now, you can work around it by doing an advanced search of (Item) contains keywords xyz Or Location matches wildcard *xyz*.
