I want to make TEXT the default attribute when I open a new child or sibling in data explorer. As it is, I have to scroll down to TEXT and click on it. It would be nice if I could go ALT-INS and have a text type note open up. Is this possible? if so, how?
Many thanks

I don't think it is possible, but in v3.2, you can move your Text template up, and it will be the first in the alt+ins menu as well, see http://www.kinook.com/Forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=10141

You can easily do something similar...go to the folder that you want to add a child to and change the Items Attribute- "Default Child Template" to the Text template. Now all children of that parent will default to text when you press INS...(Alt-ins will allow you to choose)....

Thanks. I will give it a try. After I posted I realized that there was a button on the toolbar that did what I wanted to do. NOw I know how to do it with the keyboard.
