ok. Hmmm, I'll try to store my emails in UR as well ;-)
But, what if I move to Linux in half a year, there is no export to mbox option. Kinook, would this be possible?
+ attachment attribute doesn't seem to be mapped ... ?

Be prepared to grow old as you wait for them to be imported. As far as getting them out of UR, there are a number of options. EML, csv, rtf come to mind. Attachments would be a problem, though not (I think) for eml.

I don't see eml in export options, and cvs and rtf cannot really be considered as a proper format for exporting emails. If UR does allow to import mbox, it should be able to export it as well (mapping those attributes that UR is able to import, nothing more is asked). Otherwise, one could think that Kinook is trying to lock your data.
Another thing ... one cannot see "threaded view" ...
... seems like too many inconveniences to convince me to store my emails in UR

EML is not an export option. Just drag the item from Data Explorer to the desktop.
You are correct about threaded view - there is none. But with some forethought, you can structure your search in ways that would approximate a thread. Or with enough semblance of structure that it would be useful.

ok, this could be enough, but UR would need to prefix the file name or sth, because when you try to drag/drop emails with the same subject, the system complains ...

Kinook, would this be possible?Messages imported from mbox format can be exported as documents (.eml) to recreate the individual MIME files (including attachments). I believe Thunderbird and other email apps can import these directly, and they can also be converted to mbox format via a free convertor, for instance:
