Hi:

Right click on selected text or an existing hyperlink in Item Details.

Select Insert Hyperlink.

The Browse option does not work here.

Interesting -- the file dialog dies if the field contains certain characters (/, :, and c:\, but not c:\xyz). You can work around it by clearing out the File/URL field first.

So this will be fixed in the next five minutes, right?

This is fixed in the latest download (3.5.5.1).

It is fixed, sort of. Browse works, I confirm that. But there still is a problem that I don't think is working as designed. Try this:

1. Create a new text item.
2. Create a list of hyperlinks in Item Detail. I did this by dragging items from Data Explorer.
3. Now type a word or phrase at the end of the list.
Right click on one of the hyperliinks. The detaills are shown. Close the dialogue.
4. Highlight the word you typed. Right clicck on the highlighted word. See? The box shows that the text is that of the previous hyperlink instead of the selected text. The selected text is displayed as the File/URL. I think the selected text should be displayed in the Text section.
5. If you type some text and highlight it (without following the above steps), the dialogue displays the information correctly.

I'm not seeing that (I tried both adding at the end on the the line of the last hyperlink and on the next line).

Hmmm.....

Please see the screeen cap. I had to blur some proprietary references.

I believe you, but I haven't been able to reproduce it here.

Thank you. I assumed you did. I thought a graphic might help.

Hi Jon,
I have never seen and can't reproduce the scenario described in your post.
I use Ctrl+Shift+K to pop up the Hyperlink Properties dialog box instead.
