Sort Siblings is toggled ON, but not OFF

Clicking the 'sort siblings' initially toggles it on (turns orange) and also takes effect. Creating new items will automatically sort them. However, clicking on it for the second time, disables sorting, but the option visual continues to be 'on' i.e. orange color (see image). Clicking it multiple times turns sorting on and off, but its clicked state remains the same.

The first time Sort Siblings is selected, it sorts alphabetically. The next time, it sorts in reverse alphabetical order. To manually order again, move an item up/down or Shift+drag to another position, and Sort Siblings will no longer be checked.
