Google Chrome and UR - problems

I have tried copying and pasting from Google Chrome (in numerous sites) to UR (using Ctrl-C - Windows-V), but to no avail; every time I do this I get an error message: Error Pasting Data; Unexpected Error Occurred."

Please note that I can paste this way from Google Chrome into other apps (e.g., Word).

Thanks for the post...I won't bother to install it until their process of "release early and iterate" gets further along.

but then you cannot use any of their services, gmail for example is still beta only ;-)

I wasn't one of the first users of gmail either...its still not easy to import contacts with cvs and get the fields populated correctly. You would think that it would be easy for them to publish the field names in their help(or just use the export names)...but I forget, they don't really do help.

Fixed in 3.5b.

Kinook - as usual, your support, like your software, is stupendous; thanks and kudos!

Google Chrome

Speaking of Google Chrome, I find it a bit buggy, but it is very fast. I use it mainly for Gmail, having other browsers open for other uses.

Might there be a chance of an import icon from Chrome some day, from UR (just as for Mozilla and Explorer)? I am sure Chrome is here to stay and that Google will continually improve it to a point where it is better than other browsers for those users that avoid bloated applications.

Possibly, if they implement a plug-in framework for it and its market share approaches Firefox's.

Chrome just became a serious browser for me with the recent addition of extensions/plug-ins and alpha Roboform support. Recent market share statistics* put Chrome at just under 7% -- roughly 27% of Firefox's current share. I predict these breakthroughs will cause Chrome usage to grow exponentially over the next few months. In fact, I'm using it now!

Since Firefox 3.5 and 3.6 have really stunk IMO - more crashes than ever and the memory usage is atrocious, I have been opening Chrome a lot lately.Man is it ever fast! And whenever Firefox has problems with certain pages I just open them in Chrome and it has never failed to render the pages perfectly.

If it wasn’t for the lack of a few FF extensions that are important to me Chrome would be my default browser.

BTW, I don't mean literally exponential growth, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Chrome usage double over the next couple months and close within single digits of Firefox in 2010.

Gotta say that I have now been using Chrome full time for three weeks and I really, really miss having an Ultra Recall extension for it! I'd go as far as to say I would pay extra for it at this point.

Thank you.

yes, but how much? $5, $10, $50? there are many features on the waiting list that I'd pay to have, but if I'm alone or maybe one out of 10, that doesn't make any difference to developer. maybe if you paid $1000 yourself and it could be then added as a plugin, they would develop it for YOU, you could then sell it for $10 to everyone who'd want to have it through kinooks web ;)

Any chance UR will add Chrome support yet?
