I know Office 2007 is only available in beta so far, but can UR import files in the new formats?

Yes, provided that .xml and .zip are included at 'Tools | Options | Import | File extensions to keyword'.

After installing Office 2007 beta, Word documents (Office XP versions) that previously displayed in the item details pane now open in Word 2007, and documents in Word 2007 format show the Click here to open stored or linked document hyperlinks.

Are there any settings in UR to get old Word documents to display as they did before and to get Word 2007 documents to display in the item pane?

For .docx files, configuring as above didn't work in my tests, and it could be that embedding Word for .docx files is not supported (the OLE embedding architecture depends on the structured storage/compound document file format, which the new Office file formats are not).

Thanks, my old Word documents now open in UR again (complete with the new Ribbon!). The new .docx files still don't open in UR, but I can live with that meantime.
