Linking & Searching questions

I am currently evaluating UR and have two questions:
1. Is it possible to link from one document to a specific location in another document?

2. Is it possible for search results to be color-coded within the tab that they are located? Similiar to the on-line help.

Have used AskSam and currently using Treepad.

Thanks.

Do you mean linking between two different UR databases? If so, that can be done via internal links (most commonly used for linking within the same database, but it also works between databases).

Not sure exactly what this is asking, but there isn't any special color coding of search results, other than coloring based on an item's Flag attribute (if 'Tools | Options | Grids | Use flag colors for item text color' is checked).

1. What I meant about linking to specific location is this:

One document is about computers. When speaking about hard drives, this would be a link to another document (within in the same database) and go specifically to hard drives (similiar to a glossary).

2. Search results - question answered.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, you could use either an internal link (link within item text or notes to another item) or logical link (an item linked in multiple locations in the tree) for that.
