Importing Treepad Business Edition

Hi there.
I've been using TreePad for the last few months but find it rather ... clunky.
I'm using Treepad Business Edition which uses a .tpd file.
UltraRecall doesn't seem to like this.
The import expects a .hjt file.
When I select the todo.tpd file it imports nothing.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nick

It seems that the import is based on Treepad v6 whereas I'm using Treepad v7 which is a year+ old!

Re: Importing Treepad Business Edition

Nick,

I've used the TreePad TPD toolset to convert binary tpd files into hjt files. I believe you can download the toolsset from TreePad's web site.

Wes

Wes,
Thanks for the info.
Actually, in TreePad you can save the file as .hjt (or .html) so I did that.
But thanks for replying to my post.
Right now I'm more concerned about the loss of all of my internal/external links - does UR not support links to other elements?

A related item. Maybe I'm being a bit fussy (or just not doing it right), but when I import Treepad files, images (which Treepad keeps in a separate file) are not imported. Is this by design?

I've been using the workaround of Treepad -> RTF -> UR, but that's clunky and long-winded.

PS: By the way, I am referring to old-style (v6) Treepad (.hjt) files. With hjt files, Treepad keeps images, icons etc in a separate (.tpz) file.

Not so much by design as something we just didn't get around to implementing. We'll add it to the list.
