Recommended AV Exclusions
 

Hey folks, any recommended Anti Virus exclusions required? We're timeouts on the scans, ie:

8/3/2008 4:15:44 PM Not scanned (scan timed out) C:\Program Files\VisBuildPro\VisBuildPro.exe E:\Backup_Storage\BDa00492

Should the Backup_Storage be excluded from being scanned?

I'm not sure what E:\Backup_Storage\BDa00492 is, I would guess that it's a folder on the local drive or a subst to some network path. Is it part of a command-line being used to run a scheduled build or something? Does the build copy files there? You may want to disable any active scanning virus software if it is interfering with whatever your build is doing.

I'm not the one working with the software, I'm the av admin looking for a solution to improve performance...I'll try to get a bit more information from the folks using visual build. I thought there would be recommended files and folders that should not be scanned.
