Date formats

I notice that you have given a nod to those who would like dates in different formats, but the implementation of date format control throughout UR is yet incomplete.

The problem is that only citizens of the U.S.A. automatically understand m/d/y. It is not inherently different in appearance from d/m/y or two-digit y/m/d. When permitted to set my preference, I always choose yyyy-mm-dd so that I can see exactly what I'm dealing with. It is also easy to see whether sorting is on date as opposed to other columns in multi-column displays.

Please implement global control over date format and provide yyyy-mm-dd and 24-hour time (hh:mm[:ss]) as standard options. You also might consider setting the UR default to the user's international setting on the local computer to avoid the need to set this.
