Steps to recreate:

Create Quick Search
Copy/Paste Quick Search
click on, i.e. use this new quick search

from results in quick search, select any item
+L to move selected item to an outline topic

On my system, when I did this (repeated several times), the item was moved but the Quick Search disappeared.

I recreated this. Very weird.

I wasn't able to reproduce this. The search item only got moved if it was selected rather than a search result.
