Can't change attributes or forms

I'm using UR pro v3.1 on a windows XP machine. I've been trying different databases - some of the samples and GTD ones.

With some files I can't add new forms or Attributes or can't modify existing ones. Is there some kind of protection setting? It's not like the files are password protected. Is there a way I can modify that setting?

The samples are read-only. Use File | Save As on the menu to create an editable copy.

right click on file in the windows explorer, choose properties and set read-only attribute
