editing thunderbird

Nobody answered my last quetion. Maybe someone will answer this one:

After copying thunderbird msg into UR, I decided I wanted to highlight something within the msg.

How to?

You would need to edit externally (Item | Open Document) in an application that can hilight in a Thunderbird message.
