Turning off Item Details
 

Is it possible to close the Item Detail pane entirely? Or perhaps auto-hide it? I need to set up a layout just showing the outline (Data Explorer).

The "solution" I implemented was to drag the window to make it as small as possible, but that is not what I need. I may be missing something...

I don't think it's possible. Maybe you can make Data explorer pane floating and increase it to cover the Item details pane.

I thought not. But your suggestion is an excellent second choice. Thanks!
