A tribute to Ultra Recall: Elegance working with large databases
 

Last few weeks I created an UR database and imported near 9g of html pages. Import took around two-three hours. The elegance, though, is how UR performs working with such a large database.

Opening it takes around 2-3 seconds
Searching within item titles & phrases is instantaneous.
Reorg'ing the tree e.g. moving items, copying, linking is like butter!

I have used majority of personal knowledge management apps and I do not recall a single app that managed such a large database with ease and 'grace'.
