forget local setting, temp ... and everything
let UR take care of that ... you don't need to know the answer to any of that technical questions you asked.
Open your word, make some changes ...
if want to now create a new word file based on that -> save in word CTRL+S, go to UR and click on synchronize button (CTRL+F5) to make sure the changes are updated to UR. Now copy the item in UR and make a duplicate where you want. That's it. You have a copy of your updated word and everything stored in UR.
