Food for Thought

I synchronise only contact information with my PDA. (I've done scheduling in the past, but for me it's not worth the effort.)

Note
I use Windows Address Book (WAB) as my conduit.
Nearly every PDA comes with software that syncs with WAB.
For me UR shoulders a far greater burden of contact management than does my PDA.

Process (every 2 to 4 weeks)
1) Transfer from UR to (empty) WAB via CSV file.
2) Sync PDA with WAB file.
3) Now - i like to manually inspect and manually resolve the differences. In other words, I edit UR to update it with information I've gathered into my PDA whilst "on the road".
4) Transfer from UR to empty WAB via CSV file. (again)
5) Transfer from WAB to (empty) PDA

It might seem a bit convoluted, however, with the templates and scripts I've got in place, it really doesn't take me all that long. I find the manual inspection a really handy trigger. Hmm... new contact/client - how is their job progressing/nurture the new relationship. Change of phone number - woops, I haven't updated their address.
