How I got UR to display PDF's

When I first installed UR I was using Acrobat Pro 2020. Adding ".pdf" to Tools->Options->Browse->File extensions to display in internal browser AND setting Acrobat as my default for pdf's and installing the Acrobat extension in Microsoft Edge worked.

But yesterday I upgraded to Acrobat Pro DC and that seemed to break things. Tried everything but UR kept insisting on opening pdf's in Acrobat Pro DC instead of UR's internal browser.

Then for the hell of it I added ".pdf" to Tools-Options-Documents-Files extensions to edit/view externally. Saved it and tried to view a pdf in UR - instead of auto-opening it in Acrobat Pro DC it showed a link to be clicked to open in an external editor.

I then went back to Tools-Options-Documents-Files extensions to edit/view externally and removed the ".pdf" entry.

Now UR opens pdf files in the internal browser - apparently, it needed a "kick in the pants" to work.
