How much of this can Ultra Recall do?
I have been using Info Select to import tab delimited items from a text file. Info Select will take the text document and:
1. Import the file setting up "fields" for each tab delimited section, and making each item it's own record in a database view. 2. I can then search specific fields in that database to find particular values. 3. I can then further search those search results achieved in (2.) for another value. 4. I can drag those fields to achieve a specific layout for the database data view that I am looking at. 5. I can print the search results. How much of this will Ultra Recall do? Looking at the app, it's not immediately obvious how I might go about attempting this. Thank you for any instruction or pointers you can give. Phil. Last edited by philb2k; 09-05-2011 at 09:05 PM. |

You can use File | Import -> A delimited text file (CSV) to import tab delimited data. Click Attributes Editor from there to create the attributes to import fields into.
http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...edtextfile.htm To search for multiple values, perform a quick search (Edit | Search on the menu) and type in all words to find (type another word to further restrict the search). http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...uicksearch.htm You can use a form to create a layout showing your attributes (create a form at Tools | Forms, create a template for your items by inserting a new Text item under My Data -> Templates in the tree, then assign the form to the template's Form attribute, and use the custom template when importing CSV data). http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Manual/formviewer.htm http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...ibutespane.htm To print search results, use File | Print -> Related Items Grid on the menu. http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...leinfoitem.htm |
