Also a "Start Fresh" which resets UR3P to its home state, under maximum collapse and shows only 1 tab. (It would be good to include an user-set, optional "Are you sure?" confirmation dialog.

This might be a slight overkill. Just do Shift+left arrow on your root item, and alt+minus to close tabs. But that gives me an idea, what about giving users possibility to create macros in UR?

Macro: "Start Fresh":
Begin
- go to item with itemId=1000
- do "Shift+Left arrow"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
- do "Alt+minus"
End

quant,

What a great idea! I like macros and having macros in UR would be very helpful.

I use Macro Express because I like macros too; it works in many applications, not just UR.

that's nice, but how would you do "go to item with itemId ..."? (ok, you could do Backspace sufficiently many times in this particular case)

I suppose you could configure UR in such a way, that you'd assign keyboard shorcuts to many things that you are interested in, ... another hack (ie. usage of some external program for UR to do sth), aaaargh ... there are soooo many ... Kinook should probably start thinking about implementing some of them natively (Launchy for the start, cause seem that many people are complaining about that one)
