search open in a new tab

I realize it is possible to open search in a new tab via <CTRL><ENTER> but would it be possible to add an option -- much like favorites -- to open search results in a new pane? -janrif

Like favorite option, supply user option to open search in new tab. Thank you.

Edited: PS also same option from related item. For example, sometimes user creates reminder for a list of items. Clicking on each one would replace list. Yes, user can back arrow to the list but.... what's the matter w another option?
