What format should I export Treepad files in for Import?

What's the best method to Export a Treepad file (v 7.2) for import into UR?

WHAT I TRIED
What I've tried either .tpz or .hjt (I forget which) and it didn't bring in the hyperlinks to local files (c:\myfile.txt, etc.)

I tried the .htmhjt and it brought those local inks in but not internal links between different items.

I also tried importing an XML or OPML file. UR gave an error that "At least one Input Field must be matched to an Attribute. "

This is a pretty critical issue b/c it's the difference b/t someone (me <G>) being able to import the full usefulness of years of database into UR (for hopefully MANY years of future use)

OPTIONS TREEPAD PROVIDES

1 or multiple files
for one file, options are HTML, RTF or .txt

Multiple files options:
Treepad (.ptd, .hjt, or .htmhjt
treepad 2.x compabitl (plain text articles)
one html file
one xml file
one ritch text file
one plain text file.

I'd be happy to try your recommended method and report back. I'll be doing a lot of testing. (I'm a shrink wrap software developer myself so I'll be providing accurate feedback).

I'm not aware of a way to import internal and external links and images from TreePad.

I have TreePad Biz and Enterprise and both will export to multiple RTF files. After selecting RTF export then select Export all subtree nodes and be sure to check the box to the right that says recurse subtree.

I was able to import into UR just fine.
I don't think internal links will translate but all other links seem to work fine.

Here's what I did:

From Treepad:

1. Export to multiple files.
2. RTF files.
3. Export all subtree nodes . Check the Recurse Subtree (thanks for tip above)

From UR, I imported a FOLDER.

External Links to documents, etc. preserved.
Images preserved.
Internal links do not work.

Good to hear.
The internal links will probably never work as they would have been assigned special designations to locations within Treepad by Treepad. UR would be importing these RTF files and not have a clue as to where these special links would be pointing to.

I think you might have reached as far as you can go with this issue.
