Open external link in the appropriate app instead of UR?

I have links to files (like Program.mak, or folder).

If I click on them they open within UR rather than the app. I want them to open in the appropriate appliation (or Win Explorer for a folder).

I've tried right-clicking, hoping for an "open with" or "open in application" but no luck.

Any way to do that? (Ideally without having to change all the links. There are hundreds of these in an imported Treepad database.

To change it globally, check 'Tools | Options | Browser | Launch shortcuts in external browser window by default'.

To open externally (in the link's associated application) on an individual basis, use Shift+click, Ctrl+Shift+Q, or hold down shift when choosing Item | Open Shortcut.

When editing Item text internally with Word via OLE Shift-Click doesn't work

I have the editor set to edit .rtf

When I shift-click on a link, it just selects the text between the last selected spot and the cursor.

Shift+click applies to links in the browser view. In a text editor, that is used to select text. In addition to the other methods mentioned, you can also right-click and hold down Shift when choosing Open Shortcut.
