Time tracking/project software and UR
I have just taken on some new projects that will require me to track to time spent for invoicing purposes. Is anyone using UR for time tracking or can point to useful software that might integrate with Ultra Recal?

There are a couple of things you can do.
1) The time tracking program located here ( http://www.allnetic.com/?Tracker) is pretty good and easy to use -- not tied in to UR but still worth looking at. 2) Change your note template to include the attribute "Work Total" and manual adjust this field each time you change to another project. -- Rough but workable. Item 1 above is far more accurate and provides for a history of dates and times you actually worked on a project, which I think could be exported out and then imported back into UR as a child note to your project notes. Anyway, good luck in the hunt. <Ralph> |

I don't know how well they integrate with UR, but here are some time tracking products that I've heard of:

I'm used to Above&Beyond (or TimeTo, which is its twin brother).
It's not dedicated time tracker but rather dynamic scheduling calendar/system, but I use it to track time spent, it produces log files for each month, which are simple but also easy to import anywhere. The integration with UR would be only by importing the simple log file which is a plain text. It might be possible to create a database in UR and import into database fields, but that wouldn't be simple I'd guess - I have no such advanced experience with UR to be able to tell. |
