Meaning of Item Notes Search Criteria
1. What are the meanings of the search options in the Comparison combobox for the Item Notes?
2. Is it supposed all info items contains the Item Notes attribute/field? Then, what's the purpose of "exists" comparison operator? 3. For "greater than", "greater than or equal to", "equal to"... does it compare number of chars inside the Item Notes? Or does it match a char string? |

In addition, how to search only Info Items which contain notes?

Item Notes 'exists' finds all items with notes. contains keywords searches for matching words within item notes. The comparison operators compare with the item notes text as a string.

Kinook,
Thanks for your clarification. Definitely it's helpful. First off, it's my flaw. My original Search Criteria (see the screenshot) turns out to be correct. However, it yielded numerous info items with blank notes. After further examination, Those UR search results were right. All those blank notes actually contain whitespace(s). Thanks Kinook. Thanks UR. Armstrong |
