Copy Internal Link Anchor feature: Can the link use a substring of the cursor line?
[Originally posted by forum member cnewtonne]
I use this feature daily. It allows me to create a TOC which resides in the item note panel. Clicking on a link scrolls a lengthy article. I find this to be very useful to my workflow. The inserted link has the item title text. This causes the TOC link to have all identical text. I have to go to each TOC item and add text to indicate what it is pointing to. This is time consuming. Can this feature be configured so when the internal link is generated it uses a substring of the line where the cursor is instead? |

This is implemented in v6.3.0.5.
If the current line contains text when Edit | Copy Internal Link Anchor is selected, the first x characters of that line (as configured via registry entry MaxCharsForItemTitle, with a partial word removed) will be used for the internal link title instead of the item title. |
