Deleting Logical Links
When deleting a Logical Link, a dialog should pop up asking if you want to delete just that instance of the object, or all copies of the object.
Response from Kevin at Kinook: "Right now you can delete all instances of an Info Item (and child Info Items) is available with by holding Shift + Ctrl when doing a delete (the prompt indicates that a well). That feature needs to be documented better in the help file. Receiving a dialog everytime an Info Item is deleted might get annoying as well. Perhaps a user configurable feature in the future..." My response to this: "It wouldn't have to give you the dialog for every item...only for items that have logical links elsewhere in the tree. It makes sense to warn a user if he may unknowingly be deleting multiple items. Conversely, requiring the user to use Shift + Ctrl makes the assumption that the user knows there are logical links to the item. When you have a few thousand items in your Data Explorer, it becomes very easy to lose track of which items have links and which ones don't. Therefore, I think the warning dialog should automatically popup any time you are deleting an item that has logical links. Then the user can make an informed choice about how to proceed." |

Good suggestion. Also, a shortcut overlay image (a little square w/ an arrow at the bottom left) is displayed on the item icon for any items that are multiply linked (in addition to the parents being displayed in the Item Parents pane).
