4.1: Import from Outlook causes UR to hang
I have downloaded the trial version of UR and it looks great.
However I have an issue when synchronizing and UR hanging. When Outlook is connected to the Exchange server, UR hangs showing the 'Synchronizing Item' box. When Outlook is disconnected from Exchange or the network, synchronization is fine. When UR hangs I see the Sync Item dialog box but no item names can be seen in this dialog box (ie email names, notes names etc). Anyone else seen this and is there a workaround? |

Hi Again,
According to an email I got from Kinook: We have heard of some users encountering oddities like that with Outlook sync, but we've never been able to reproduce the problem. What can I do to provide logs on what is happening? UR looks like a great product, but I need one that can sync with Outlook. Thanks! |

UR uses MAPI and the Outlook object model to sync with Outlook, and when that is slow to respond, I wouldn't know how to diagnose it. Could you temporarily disconnect when syncing?

Have you waited "a long time"? I see this same behavior and if I wait long enough (10 minutes? 15 minutes?), it will complete. The first time sync takes the longest, updates less so. However, it does go much faster if you aren't connected via Outlook when you do the UR sync.
