Setting Journal Date

What is the proper way to set the date and time for a journal entry using the day template?

When I select the journal template I have to put in date manually.

If I select insert date and time when the day template is highlighted, text item appears below the day with the date and time.

Since what I really want is a day item with the date and time in case I make more than one entry a day, this seems counter-intuitive.

Unless, of course, I do not really need the day template.

But then I have this question: As a journal database, would it not make sense that any new day item automatically is assigned the current time and date?

To insert a new Journal Entry item titled with the current date/time, select the desired Month parent in the tree and use Edit | Insert Date+Time (Alt+Z). A Journal Entry item will be created since that is the Month template's Default Child Template attribute value.
