Proof Positive
Not to beat a dead horse too much (it probably won't do much good, anyway), but the flood of earnest questions from JGM22, an enthusiastic and inquisitive new UR user, and hardly a newbie when it comes to data management, is pretty conclusive evidence that there needs to be a radical overhaul of the UR help features. The best method would be:
* If you want to do this, click here, then click here, and finally click here (preferably accompanied by an uncluttered screen cast or simple screen shot). There will be eventually many of these "*"s, of course, by so what? It is no longer possible to sell widely a product as user-unfriendly as UR (that is, especially regarding it's more powerful functions), albeit / despite it being the best of its kind around. Earnest questions and prompt answers from experienced users and the developers on the provided forum.....
I'm sure others can see this broadly as another component of a healthy user support system. Last edited by $bill; 07-02-2010 at 10:38 AM. |

For sure ...
Kinook's forum is indeed excellent. That's not the problem, obviously.
