Default view for Journal - newest on top, older below
Hello,
I am investigating Ultra Recall and would like to know 1) if and how it would be possible for a Journal style database, to view as default the newest item on top and the older items below - going backwards in time. I feel this strategy is more natural as the newer items are more important, while the older items become less important for the current work/activities. 2) Is it possible to insert itnems in a database and afterwards with a kind of procedure/script to link multiple items with few clicks to a categories or topic or keyword or date? Thanks. Regards, Thomas |

Hello Kinook,
Thank you for this examples, but I found my description wasn't detailed to explain the question. Yes, UR can sort child items & set the default view. But the Data Explorer view seems to be very much limited to influence. Unfortunately, my working style is different. Where can I find how to change the default view of the Data Explorer (left window - not the child items window) to a) list "newest folder on top" then going back in time (actual for all possible items in a database to be sorted in the Data Explorer view to display according to multiple criteria) b) the possiblity of items not inside of folders being displayed above folders (folders are used to sort-in/archive items); ie. in Journal, I found, if I insert on the "2011" hierarchy level a new item, it is always being displayed below the "Month Info Items"; I would like to display new items just below the "2011 year folder" and after a month is completed, move them into a month folder. This is more natural and quicker to do certain work. I guess my questions/requirements are very specific, therefore i'ts okay if there is no solution. Thank you very much. |

Those defaults and sorting options are not currently available in the tree.
