UR keeps mixing up layouts
hi,
Something has gone wrong with my Layouts. I have specified different layouts for F11 and Shift-F11. I have two tabs open, each showing a different item, one with the F11 layout, the other with Shift-F11. I switch from the F11 item to the Shift-F11 one. When I go to the shift-F11 item, its layout has changed to the F11 one. Essentially I've lost the layout. The above is a bit convoluted - basically at some point as I switch from one tab to another, the shift-F11 Layout will become the same as the F11 one. For some reason it doesn't seem to happen with the other "pairs" of layouts. -- DavidF. |

Did some more experimenting.
What distinguishes these two layouts is that one shows the Tree, the other doesn't. I've discovered that what makes the difference is the setting in Options > Trees (More) to "set focus to active selection when going to an item". If that is checked, then switching to an item in another tab causes the Tree to appear, if it was not there already. I guess that's part of the "set focus to active selection" action. It's annoying in the way it messes up my carefully set up Displays, but I can see the logic of it. (Though I wouldn't particularly have thought of switching to another Tab as a "Go To" action...) The "set focus to selection" option is a very useful one I find in other contexts, but I will probably switch it off if it means messing up the displays. -- DavidF. |

In the latest version, a change has been made to not set focus to a hidden pane.
