Ultra Recall & the demise of IE 11 for Windows 11
Hi Kinook ...
Looks like MS are, once and for all, getting rid of IE in Windows 11. Also, they are now embracing win32 apps and making the new WinUI3 available to this framework. How will these new major changes affect future releases of UR? https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/25/2...lorer-disabled |

IE desktop is going away, not MSHTML (what UR uses to render web pages). In fact, Edge is going to use MSHTML itself for IE mode.

They are keeping it for backward compatibility, though. It isn't the current & future web rendering controls. For that, they introduced Microsoft Edge WebView2
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mic...0native%20apps. I hope UR embraces these technologies. The current IE-based controls have proven to be insufficient for newer websites and web standards. There has been reports in the forum of sites breaking or not displaying inside UR. |

Yes, that is on the list.
Unfortunately, as of early 2023, WebView2 still lacks many fundamental capabilities. A few are mentioned here: https://github.com/MicrosoftEdge/Web...ack/issues/871 |
