Post Ipad

Is there a straightforward way to access and view (at a minimum) a URD from/on an iPad?

My primary platform for 'doing work' is Windows VISTA 7 Professional, MS Office, UR 4 Professional.

On the iPad I use Safari and Terra as browsers, and have the ability to view, modify and markup various file types (i.e., .txt, .pdf, .doc) using Apple's Pages (think MS Word) and other 3rd party apps.

Files I want to access 'on the go' using the iPad are saved in Dropbox (cloud-based server) which is accessible to me anywhere I have network access. Dropbox also appears as as a folder in Windows.

Thanks in advance for your ideas and insights.

p.s. I'm NOT a db expert so simpler is better

You would need to export the documents to be viewed (File | Export -> Documents and item rich text to a folder [or HTML]).

if you wanted to stick to your ipad, maybe you could use teamviewer
www.teamviewer.com/ipad

You would have to have your win 7 machine on, and then be able to connect to it and operate it from internet browser on ipad

re: iPad

Thank you kinook for your VERY prompt response, and to you too quant.

I had a go with kinook's suggestion, and I think I need to keep twiddling some of the options (may use HTML output/format) in Export as I am not achieving my desired outcome.

BTW, my son gave the iPad to me as a Christmas gift. It has been fun so far, and quite honestly I'm still trying to figure out how (or if) I can put it to use in my everyday life as a Consultant.

Enough said about the iPad, and back to the topic at hand. . . with UR.

I'll also check out teamviewer as well - THANK YOU quant.

p.s. Kinook's team, this forum and its participants are EXCEPTIONAL

I occasionally use LogMeIn from my iPad to access UR running on my main PC. It probably works in a similar way to Teamviewer.
