title expressions
it's been awhile since I've been here...
tyring to figure out custom titles and title expressions. I can't find the attribute title expression in any template other than Contact, but from the help file it appeared that it should be available in other templates as well. What's the story on this? If it is available, what are the exact steps I need to take to get the title expression attribute to show up in the attributes pane? Thanks. Regards, Bal |

is there no "Title Expression" attribute in the "Item Attributes" pane for items (templates) in the Template directory?

I have a Title Expression attribute in each of my Templates. It is the last displayed attribute under the collapsible Template divider in the Item Attributes Pane. The Title Expression attribute is not on the list of System Attributes to display in Tools|Options|Attributes so I don't see a way NOT to display it in the Item Attribute pane except by clicking on the Template section divider.
Sorry to be of so little help. Edit>> Ha! Quant's picture was worth >50 of my words.... |

I do NOT have the title expression attribute in any of my
templates other than Contacts, Appointments and Projects. I cannot generate the screenshot you show from my instance of URP3. I thought maybe my database was corrupt, so I created a new, empty database. Here's my screen with the new database looks like. http://www.balsimon.com/temp/showkin...expression.jpg When I open the Attributes dialog for any of the templates that do not show Title Expression, it is not listed among the possible items to include. Thoughts? Thanks. - Bal |

It looks like Expression is cut off of the last attribute name. Try increasing the width of the Attribute column.
