More thoughts on hoisting
Hi,
I could really use hoisting now. It would so help me focus. OK - how about this as an initial implementation? Don't know what others would think about it, but using the 80/20 rule, it would be a great start for me. Let hoisting simply be taking a segment of the hierarchy and making it temporarily and visually the top level of what I see on-screen. The whole point of hoisting is to sharpen your focus. So I don't need to see anything in any of the relationship panes that's outside the sub-hierarchy while I'm in hoist mode. Let the tab states persist between sessions - already suggested by someone else in another thread - this would be truly helpful - please give it your highest priority. Then let me tether a hoisted view to a tab and let me "lock" the tab so whenever I'm in that tab, I'm in the hoisted view, and you'll find this satisfied customer an even happier camper. Thanks. Regards, Bal |
