Paste one item per line

When I do this into a data item that has a particular default child template, the resulting child items are of template type text rather than the default template type. Unfortunately I can't then change these items to the required template type as it doesn't appear in the list of template types.

Is there a way round this?

The template must be derived from the Text template. If the Default Child Template is derived from the Document template, the Text template will be used.
