default for yes/no attribute values always "Yes"

it seems that when adding an attribute and choosing yes/no for the data/value type - the default shown in the attributes panes for any attribute with this value pair is always "yes"..

How do I make such a value pair always default to "No"?

The default attribute values come from the item's template.
In the template for the Item - change the attribute's value to no.
