Tracking the active step

If, during a build, I manually scroll to another location and open a property page to check something (for example), the automatic scrolling of the main window to track the active item stops. Is there a way to get the GUI to start tracking the active step again?

Choose Go | Current Step on the menu (Alt+Num *).
