Maximum Number of Templates

Hello,

Is there a maximum number of templates? I have created 24 templates, but only 22 show up when using the insert template tool. The last two templates simply do not show up as options. I can make them appear by renaming them so that different templates are sorted alphabetically to be the last in then list. No matter what I try, two templates are always missing from the insert tool.

What version of Ultra Recall do you have installed? We can't replicate that behaviour with the latest version in our testing, can you post your current installation info (copy from Help | About | Install Info...)?

I added the X and Z to force two of my lesser used templates to the bottom. hence these are the two dissappearing.

I stand corrected, there is an arbitrary limit for the number of templates that is displayed in the Insert menu. Currently the total number is 26 (but the first one is the "Default" entry, leaving room for 25 actual templates).

You can create new Info Items from templates that number past this limit using drag and drop or copy and paste of the desired template to the location for the new Info Item.

This limit could be increased to some larger number with the next release of Ultra Recall, perhaps 30 or 35 (more than that will not fit on the typical screen anyway).

I strongly encourage you to increase the number of templates that can be displayed in the Insert menu or at least include a hierarchical list. For instance, It would be useful to have both a standard Word template as well as several derived Word templates for particular purposes.

By the way, I don't have a problem with a long list under the Insert Menu because I usually use Ultra Recall in portrait mode on a tablet pc.
