Firefox plugin and UR DB Internals
The rendering of some pages stored in UR look quite bad, for example on xp sp3 and ie8 the bloomberg homepage doesn't look anything like the original. On the other hand, the firefox scrapbook plugin does a perfect job of saving a page. Could the firefox plugin be modified to work with scrapbook. I guess it would be useful if you'll could provide the source code of the UR firefox plugin so people on this forum could chip-in. Or at least the calls to be made into UR to import data would help.
The other thing is the format and compression used to store data in the SQLite db. Can a simple API or sample code be provided ? |

I don't know how to do that, but the plugin source code is available in the .xpi file at http://kinook.com/Download/URFFExtension.xpi (the .xpi file is a .zip file, and a .jar file inside of it has the extension code -- see http://www.google.com/search?q=firef...on+development for more details). I believe others have used Scrapbook to import into UR (search the forum).
An imported web page and related files is stored in a proprietary format in UR and isn't easily accessible via an API. |
