Hello and thanks for a great application
Hi, Ive been trialing UR for a while and running into a some 'small' anoyances that maybe are due to usage problems. Maybe a little help from you guys?
1/ Somewhere in my large test database I have the text "something important here" So I search for "Something important here". I get results that show 13 documents. At this point, I have no idea which document I want, so I have to open each file and initiate another local search, then reinput my search string again "something important here". This is a very convoluted process, which kind of detracts from the ethos of a recall manager such as UR 1- Am I doing this wrong, is there an easier way? 2- Is there a way to see contextual snippets in results to visually filter whats available? 3- Failing this, is there a way to automatically transfer a URD search string (having got the search results list)into the local document search and go to the first occurance of the string in the first document? Like 'Feeling lucky' in Google 2/ Is it possible to use mozilla Firefox as my default internal viewer? Thanks for your help. |

1/ That is the easiest way at this time. Highlighting of search results is at the top of the list for future enhancements.

Highlighting of matching item text in search results is available in UR v4.
http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Ma...archdialog.htm Stepping to the next/previous search match is also available. http://www.kinook.com/UltraRecall/Manual/gomenu.htm |
