Hidden data, a mystery to me
I created my own version of a contact form.
I created a contact template based on this form Both item & child were based on this form I successfully imported csv data from several other programs into this form. I decided to group them in folders, i.e. all "A", "B", "C" etc via drag/drop At a later time, I opened one of the contact items only to discover that the form was gone but each item's data exists in attributes, i.e. tel #, etc. Problem: How to match attributes to form again w/o re-importing. Also found that attribute "item title" was no longer available as selection for template form. Isn't "Item Title" considered an attribute? Also trying to figure out what I did to cause this. Thank you. Last edited by janrif; 03-10-2007 at 02:42 PM. |

Jan>>Problem: How to match attributes to form again w/o re-importing.
This is how I would approach it... Remembering that each item that I create (or import) is based on a Template Info Item. And that a form is used to display a custom layout of the attributes. The form used by the Info Item is rooted in the Template Info Item's Form attribute>>> I would look at the contact item’s attributes to see if it is based on the template that I wanted. ie Template Name = “JanContact”. Fix as necessary.. Then I would check the Template “JanContact” 's attributes to see if the attribute Form is the form that I wanted. ie Form= “JanContactForm”. Fix as necessary... |
