how do you store content of multiple items?

I am trying to store contents of many files, but going through them one by one is taking too much time, is there an easier way of selecting multiple items and storing contens or unstoring contents?

thanks

You could create an advanced search for all unstored documents (Template Item equals Document and Document Size does not exist). After selecting the first search result, Ctrl+M, down arrow could be used to store each one, or possibly use a macro tool to automate this part:

thanks for the suggestions, but i was looking for more convenient solution.

I think that i should be able to select child items within "child items" window and do mass (un)storing.

just my couple of cents

One note: If these items were imported from a local folder, or with the Import Wizard (Files | Import...), then one option is to re-import them with "Create Logically linked items for duplicate urls" and "Store files contents in Ultra Recall" checked. This will re-import the same documents, and will ensure they are stored instead of linked (unchecking the "Store file contents in Ultra Recall" checkbox also works to "unstore" re-imported items).

Hi Kevina
thanks for the suggestion.

That sounds like a starter solution , but i do not think that it is flexible enough to use in mass databases. I am starting a project that would take very long time, and i believe i will have thousands of documents linked to eachother, some stored some not etc. So for simple things that solution is ok especially if all you need to store all the files in one folder. But what if you want certain files in one folder, and you do not know where they are located etc. Then that can take very long time to do especially when you need to add them to import menu one by one. I just think that since UR knows where those files, i should be able to select which files i want and just store them. It feels like function and interface is there, it is just not implemented.

thanks
