More lternate layouts

Currently it is possible to switch between two alternate layouts (F11). I would find it useful to switch between more than two layouts, because I tend to like to use different layouts for different purposes. e.g. the optimal layout for search items is different to the one for contacts, and different again from the one for folders.

A very neat way to deliver this would be to have layout as one of the attributes assignable to each template. This would allow users to choose the optimal layout for each of their templates.
