Simple task - impossible

Simple task:

- find items that are not a child of a certain item, sounds easy, doesn't it?

Solution?

- none (that I could think of)

Kinook, suggestions please

items can have more than one parent ... so neither lineage nor parent title helps here

ok, in that case 0 items should be found by the "search".
Take any other item, say "Tasks", how would you create "search" that would find all items that are not a child of "Task" item?
To put it simply, the problem of this thread is that item can have more than one parent, but searching doesn't allow for this feature ... ie. UR became more feature rich but on the other hand by doing that it means that some other features were degraded ...

All in all ... I was trying to suggest new search "relationship", so far we have "AND" and "OR", and we need "AND NOT" and "OR NOT", because as this example shows

AND parent title is "whatever"

is not the negation of

AND parent title is not "whatever"

because parent title is not unique
