Question Unix Version

Hi Guys,

This may be a stupid question (please don't hate me), but are there any plans in the works for a Unix-based version of VBP? I have noticed both through personal experience and through talking to people on various client-sites that there is a need for something like Visual Build on Unix enivornments.

Just wondering,

Rob

We have no such plans at the moment. The main reasons are:

1) Since we have minimal experience developing on Unix/Linux, and since none of the third-party components we use have Unix counterparts, it would be much more work to create a Unix version of VBP.
2) Our perception is that the user base is smaller and most Unix/Linux developers don't like to pay money for software, so the potential market would be much smaller and therefore not worth the investment in development time.
