Reports from Ultra Recall
I am pretty sure that the answer is "No", but I figured I would ask anyway: Is there any way to create reports in Ultra Recall Pro?
I have asked a lot of questions about adding data to UR and basically using UR like a database program. However the missing piece for me is that I cannot get that information out in any decent usable manner. True database programs allow users to create/configure reports in any way they like. Of course UR is not a true database program. It is certainly great for storing your data, organizing it, searching your data, and viewing the data in several ways. But there is no way to configure a report of any kind that I can see. I am curious whether any users here have found a way to print their data from UR. I realize that the data can be copied/pasted into Excel and then printed from there, but IMO Excel is limited itself with regard to reports. Thanks! Jim |

Exporting 'Documents and rich item text to HTML' (or XML with one of the HTML conversion options) would be the closest thing to a report in UR. For something more advanced, you would need to export to CSV or XML and process externally (for instance, import into Access or another reporting tool).

Thanks. Pretty much as I expected.
Unfortunately if I wanted to deal with Access to create reports I would have just created the databases in Access. It's tough to collect all my data into a program that doesn’t have a way for me to show it, other than on screen. Anyone else found a different way to report from URp? Thanks again. Jim |
