impossible to import large .csv file
I have a .csv file with simple text, representing business contact records.
It has 10 columns and 350,000 rows (with some duplicates). I tried importing it into UR Pro - (I have the latest version). I started the import at midday, and the following morning at about 9am it was still not showing any signs of finishing - 21 hours later and counting. And indeed in the meantime, locked out of UR. I tested the file with another information manager - Zoot, and it worked fine So I gave up with UR. Any ideas? Thanks |

just imported the same file into a trial of ASKSAM - it completed successfully in just over an hours - therefore the file seems not to be the issue here...

UR uses a SQL database system and is optimized for searching, not inserting, so it could take a while to import that many records. You can still access other databases during the import by double-clicking the .urd file in Windows Explorer.
